As it nears a road going state. My brother who knows a guy who knows a guy told me about a "rustless" 240Z in a guys garage for the last 30 something years. I said they don't exist but I went and looked anyways. Car is a 11/70, making it a 71. Found it crammed in a garage on casters, with wood working tools, tool boxes, and wood all over it (including the f-ing roof). Fridge magnet test proved it all to be metal of some sort, guys wife gave the owner the angry face, I gave the owner $800, and got it towed home. Original (and solid) floors, crackless original dash. Car was sanded to bare metal, turned up to be all metal, body work took me about a year to do of off and on work. Was missing a lot of parts though. I don't have any pictures of it when I got it, there wasn't much to look at really. This is how it looks today 2 years later, paint work was done in mid January, need to have the now cured paint wetsanded, buffed, and touched up. The fender mirrors and JDM tail lamps are both Nissan original parts I was lucky to get. Still needs some interior bits and bumpers, but it runs awesome, sounds even better. I was particularly proud of the body work, as its my first serious car project, and first time doing body work. The reflections in the panels are flat, and line up better than I could have hoped for. Most S30 people wouldn't agree with what I have done to an early, nearly 95% rustless 240Z. I know I've wrecked the resale value on it, sorry if it offends anyone. I have already had people of the purist sort tell me how I've ruined the car just by describing it to them. Specs are mild: L28ET: Rebuilt, Shaved head, Aeromotive fuel setup w/ adjustable regulator, 2.5" intercooler piping w/ Isuzu Turbo diesel intercooler, 12lb flywheel, shaved crank pulley (single groove), electric fans, Koyo radiator, 12lb boost, Z31 Coil, 10mm tension cables, Pertronix ignitor (Plugs gapped at .46 on this setup), ported intake manifold with 60mm TB. 3" straight pipe exhaust, Braille 11.5lb battery. Fiberglass hood, hatch, poly rear window. Stance coilovers, All poly bushings, Suspension Techniques swaybars, Nismo front control arm spacers, Datsun Comp quick steering knuckles, Wilwood F/R 4pot/2pot w/ separate caliper for parking brake, Wilwood master cylinder. SSR XR-4 Wheels, 15x9.5 -33 and 15x10 -40, Hankook Ventus RS3 tires. Color is closer to home than you would think, its actually Nissan BX7 "Electric Blue" from the D22 Frontier.

Ran into a lot of this while ironing out electrical problems and fluid leaks..

If you want to keep it Z32 related, heres my 95TT.
